Felixstowe arsonist remanded in custody after setting Levington barn ablaze

A Felixstowe arsonist who set fire to a barn in Levington has been remanded in custody while he can be assessed by a psychiatrist

Robert Schwer, 55, of Brightwell Close, Felixstowe, appeared via video link at Ipswich Crown Court via a prison yesterday (Monday, November 30)

Schwer pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to arson by setting fire to stables and an attached barn belonging to Julie Schwer on October 15, causing £32,000 damage.

Judge David Goodin, remanded Schwer in custody and adjourned sentence until February 4 to allow a psychiatric report to be prepared.
