Arguably the world's most famous cargo ship, the Ever Given, will be arriving at the Port of Felixstowe this afternoon, nearly five months late.

Although the Ever Given has been anchored off Felixstowe overnight waiting to move into the port, and Trinity berth, she is not expected to be able to be seen from points at Landguard, Shotley marina and Harwich, as she comes in at 4pm, according to the Port of Felixstowe arrivals' page.

Television crews and spectators gathered at the marina early this morning and some ship watchers were confused this morning when they spotted a 400m long Evergreen ship at the docks, but that was the Ever Gentle.

The 217,612 tonne Ever Given arrived from Rotterdam with Hamburg the next port of call when she leaves Felixstowe.
