Essex man admits attempted murder of woman found with stab wounds on Felixstowe peninsula

An Essex man has admitted attempting to murder woman who was found in country lane on the Felixstowe peninsula with serious stab wounds.

Claire Wright was discovered in Levington Lane, near Nacton, almost three hours after being dragged fro her home in Kirby Crane, Norfolk by her former partner.

Christopher Crichton, 32, of Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, pleaded guilty to attempted murder and kidnap charges, at a plea and trial preparation hearing at Norwich yesterday.

Ms Wright's ordeal, began at about 8.40am on April 26 this year, she was airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with serious injuries, as police closed off Levington Road while investigations into the incident were carried out.
