Felixstowe Library's Elf Hunt was a great success over the festive period.

Several local primary schools, nurseries and local businesses donated their own special elf which was hidden in the library. 363 local children took part in a special elf hunt, trying to find them all.

Everyone who took part received a small treat and was entered into a prize draw to win bundles of new children's books.

Schools and families said they loved being involved and it helped to encourage more children to visit the library and sign up for a library card.

Library and Information Advisor Amy Giddins came up with the idea when she previously worked at Woodbridge Library. Local schools and nurseries all helped to promote it as they wanted to actively support pupils to visit the library and improve their reading skills.
