St Elizabeth Hospice has revealed the date for this year's Suffolk Dog Day, which will be once again held at Helmingham Hall.

Sponsored by Gladwells Pet & Country Store and Skinners, Suffolk Dog Day 2024 will take place on Sunday 8th September.

Suffolk Dog Day 2024 will feature a range of fun dog classes, dog agility and scurry activities, as well as over 50 stalls full of doggy goodies, Crufts' style competitions, children's entertainment and plenty of food and drink stalls for attendees to enjoy.

Further details will be announced in the coming months, but as ever it will be a day sure to get tails wagging in approval, while also raising vital funds for St Elizabeth Hospice.

James Fox-Golding, Events and Challenges Manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: "We are so pleased to announce the date for this year's Suffolk Dog Day.

"It is an event which is a real staple of the Suffolk calendar and we cannot wait for September to arrive, so we can join with supporters and the Suffolk community to celebrate our love for man's best friend.

"With tickets going live, make sure to book your tickets now so do you don't miss out!"

The announcement comes after Suffolk Dog Day 2023 had to be cancelled due to the extremely hot weather last September, following guidance from event partners at the RSPCA and Nightingale Vets.

Valuable funds raised by Suffolk Dog Day 2024 will go towards the work of St Elizabeth Hospice. An independent charity, which every year delivers specialist palliative care to more than 4,000 people living with a progressive or life-limiting illness, and their families, throughout East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney.

Annually this service costs around £12 million to deliver, with 70% of these funds being generated by the local community's support of the hospice's income streams, for example retail shops, events – such as Suffolk Dog Day, individual fundraising as well as gifts in Wills and donations.
