Concerns as more controversial development plans are submitted for Old Felixstowe

Fed up Felixstowe residents have written to object to plans to build another 150 houses in the oldest part of the town.

Chelmsford based developers Generator Optima want to build on a 9.4-acre piece of farmland off Gulpher Road, behind Conway Close and Swallow Close, opposite the site where 196 homes are currently being constructed in Laureate Field.

Dozens of residents have objected to East Suffolk Council, citing concerns including extra traffic,

Although it is earmarked in East Suffolk's development plan, Felixstowe's town council has recommended refusal as members are worried about another development starting while work is ongoing at nearby Laureate Fields.

There are also concerns about the foul water and surface drainage capacity and the possible impact on highways.
