Coldplace celebrating return of live music with gig at Felixstowe Spa

By Derek Davis 26th Apr 2021

Live music is back this summer, and Coldplace are making an extremely welcome return to the big stage at The Spa Pavillion in Felixstowe on Saturday 17th July, after nearly 18 months away from the bright lights, and they truly cannot wait.

"Lockdown has brought many to challenges to many people over the last 18 months, in so many different ways," says Shane Croft, lead singer of Coldplace. "We have all learnt a lot about ourselves and our lives, and we have also lost loved ones and friends along the way and gained friends too. I think everyone has a different story to tell about their lives over the last year and their reality.

"Our reality now is that we are allowed to perform to a live audience on a stage, and this is our focus at the moment. As musicians, this is what we've been longing for since we first went into Lockdown last year. We had no idea it would last this long, and unlike other industries, we haven't had any relaxation of rules during this time."

To fans delight, the uncanny lookalike tribute to Coldplay will be performing at The Spa Pavillion in Felixstowe on Saturday, 17th July.

This will be one of their first shows since March last year, so they will certainly be celebrating being back on stage. Expect an explosive show, complete with confetti canons, a laser light show and the Xylobands which Coldplace used in their tour, for the audience to light up the auditorium.

No-one knows if there will be restrictions in place when Coldplace hit the stage, but rest assured that they will not let this affect the show.

Encouragingly, The Crucible in Sheffield has held a test event with a reduced audience for the World Snooker Championship. 300 fans were able to watch the match inside wearing face coverings, and no positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported as a result of this.
