A car fire caused traffic chaos in and around Felixstowe as diversion routes became chockablock.

Fire crews closed off the area as they doused the blaze at Candlet Road, Trimley on Sunday morning, and motorists were soon complaining of lengthy delays.

No injuries were reported and the roads soon reopened.
