It may just be a coincidence that Jesus was a carpenter, but a nine-year-old from Trimley is bringing Christmas joy to villagers with his handed-crafted seasonal trees.

Noah has made a large Christmas tree for charity and is also selling smaller ones for neighbours, which are going for £10 and £15.

Mum and dad Michelle and Stuart have spoken off their pride in Noah, who raised around £100 for a Guide Dog charity last Christmas.

"Not many kids have the attention span or even the thought process to do something like that, so we try and encourage him as much as we can." Michelle said: "He's always full of ideas – not always great ideas – but he's always full of ideas."

Noah operates a book-swap scheme and sells eggs from the family's chickens from a stall outside his home.
