Cllr Steve Gallant, Leader of East Suffolk Council, said: "We know that a lot of people hold very special memories of the former Deben High School, and it is great that we have been able to save so many fantastic items from the site for the town's achieve, so we can keep the memories alive and share them with future generations.
"Furthermore, other practical items which are still in good working order has been saved from the site and will be donated to local charities and as such, continue to benefit the wider community."
A public consultation is currently being carried out, enabling local people to view and comment on the proposed plans for the site prior to the council submitting a planning application.
