The A14 in Ipswich has reopened following a police incident earlier today, Wednesday 14 February.

Officers were called at approximately 11:40am to reports of concern for the safety of a female near Nacton, past the Orwell Bridge.

A number of police resources were deployed to the area, including negotiators.

The incident was safely resolved at approximately 4:25pm. Both directions of the A14 have now reopened.
