As the countdown to Christmas gets fully underway, there are plenty of festive things to do in Felixstowe. Here are just a few of our top picks from our What's On page.

If your business or organisation is running an event, you can advertise it for free with Felixstowe Nub News.

Simply follow this link to our What's On section and click the black 'Nub It' button to get started.

1. Trimley St. Mary - Christmas Tree Switch On

Come and see the switching on of the Trimley St. Mary Christmas tree this Friday.

There will be the opportunity for children to meet Father Christmas and join in the festive songs and carols.

Festive refreshments will also be available with hot apple punch, mince pies and sausage rolls (for a small donation).

For more information, see our What's On post here.

2.The Bonkers Christmas Gonk Trail

This Saturday will see the beginning of a great holiday hunt to find the Gonks and presents across Felixstowe town centre.

Each Gonk and Present has a coloured ribbon. Search the shops and businesses in the town centre from Great Eastern Square to the top of Bent Hill - and match the Gonks and Presents with the same ribbon colour together.

Write down the locations on the trail sheet, together with your name and contact details, then drop your completed form in the box at The Wool Baa (Hamilton Road).

For more information, see our What's On post here.

3. Felixstowe Christmas Craft Market and Lighting Up Day

Also on Saturday, the festivities continue with a traditional Christmas craft market and the switching on of the lights by the Mayor.

Fantastic range of gift and food stalls to browse along Hamilton Road, Lions Club food and charity stalls at the Triangle along with Santa's Grotto, carol singing and live entertainment throughout the afternoon.

For more information and full itinerary of the day, see our What's On post here.
