In 1964 Patricia Highsmith - famous writer of Strangers on a Train and The Talented Mr Ripley - moves to England and buys a cottage in Earl Soham intending to base her next novel in Suffolk. There she meets Ronald Blythe - who counts among his friends Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears - and is working on his new novel Akenfield
