NHS staff at hospitals in Felixstowe, Ipswich and Colchester have saved nearly 400 lives of patients with Covid-19 symptoms.
East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust confirmed another two dozen people had been discharged from their main hospitals at Ipswich and Colchester, and other community hospitals, including Felixstowe.

East Suffolk Council is now processing the discretionary business grants for Felixstowe businesses provided by the Government in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Government announced at the beginning of May that extra funding would be made available to local authorities to enable them to support small businesses outside the scope of the existing business grant fund scheme.

Primary school parents on the Felixstowe peninsula have been told not to stop and have chat with each when they drop off their children next week.
While a handful of Suffolk primary schools are not expected to reopen their doors on June 1, many pupils at schools in Felixstowe and the surrounding villages will be back.

A new NHS Test and Trace services was launched today, designed at helping towns like Felixstowe to confine the Coronavirus.
25,000 dedicated contact tracing staff working with Public Health England will have the capacity to trace the contacts of 10,000 people who test positive for coronavirus per day and can be scaled up if needed.

The head teacher of a Felixstowe primary school deemed 'Inadequate' by its latest Ofsted report has insisted she is 'heartened' after inspectors noted improvements made over the past two years.
Martha Hughes, head teacher of Langer Primary Academy, pointed to the commitment and passion shown by shown by staff, pupils and parents, and the progress that has been made since its previous inadequate report in 2018.
