Talented film and television crews from the Felixstowe area are getting the chance to appear in local blockbusters, thanks to a new initiative.
Suffolk's official film office has launched a new database of local TV and film professionals to help kickstart the industry following the coronavirus lockdown.

Pubs and restaurants in the Felixstowe area are today being urged to register for the government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme, which will allow customers to feast for half price.
A number of pubs that open from Monday to Wednesday can use the scheme to offer a discount to diners and encourage them to eat at their establishment.
The number of parents in the Felixstowe area wishing to home school their child is expected to rise, after the coronavirus lockdown gave families a 'trial run'.
Around 1% of Suffolk's children are educated at home normally, before the coronavirus lockdown enforced at the end of March meant most children were being educated at home.

Cyclists are to be stopped from pedalling through Felixstowe town centre.
The move is to improve safety for pedestrians along the shared space in Hamilton Road precinct now that cars have been banned between 10am and 4pm.

Easing of social distancing measures in Tesco has split opinion among Felixstowe residents.
Supermarkets across the country introduced safety measures as coronavirus broke out in the UK. But as the government eases lockdown measures, Tesco has scrapped one-way systems and will now be letting more customers in stores, although they will be encouraged to remain two metres apart.
Once again an ever growing number of people are flocking to Felixstowe Nub News to keep up with what is going on in and around the town and to enjoy our interesting mix of features, articles and free listings.
