News in Felixstowe

Parents and carers have until Saturday 31 October 2020 to submit an application to secure their child's place at a secondary school for September 2021. This includes high and upper schools.

Last year, Suffolk County Council received 7,831 applications from parents and carers indicating which secondary school they would prefer their child to be educated at from September 2020 in Year 7.

Call for government intervention at Port of Felixstowe

The Port of Felixstowe has faced further criticism after an influential users group claimed the UK's biggest container port was grinding to a 'virtual standstill' at peak times.

The Suffolk docks, owned by HutchisonPorts, is also facing calls for government intervention after longstanding complaints from hauliers reached new heights this autumn.
