The NHS is launching a new campaign to urge families in Felixstowe and the rest of Suffolk to talk about organ donation, following research that showed less than half of adults in England have had the conversation.

The Leave Them Certain campaign aims to highlight the impact not knowing has on the families who are left behind and encourage people talk about their decision. It follows the law change last year in England, which means that all adults are seen as willing to donate their organs, unless they opt out or are in one of the excluded groups.

Felixstowe's bins will not be collected again tomorrow after East Suffolk Council and Norse agreed conditions are likely to remain too difficult to undertake a waste collection service.

The weather forecast suggests further sub-zero temperatures overnight and more snowfall, particularly focused on East Suffolk, which will make it almost impossible for 20-tonne-plus refuse vehicles to safely reach and navigate a very large number of roads and properties, on Wednesday.

Seven Hills junction proposal

First stage plans to improve junctions on the A12 between the A14 Seven Hills and the A1152 Woods Lane have been revealed, and members of the public are encouraged to have their say.

A new section of dualled road and improved walking, cycling and public transport facilities are proposed by the Highways Authority, Suffolk County Council following a comprehensive analysis of traffic movements and traffic demand impacts at the junctions.
