Women's tour due to finish in Felixstowe postponed again

Postponed Women's Cycling tour could now take part in October

Organisers of the Women's Tour, SweetSpot Group, have announced that the upcoming edition of the race scheduled for 7 to 12 June 2021, which was due to finish in Felixstowe, will be postponed owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

SweetSpot are working with the UCI and British Cycling to re-arrange the Women's Tour for later in 2021 and have requested alternate race dates of Monday 4 to Saturday 9 October* from the sport's governing body.

A Freeport East Hydrogen Hub centred on Felixstowe which will contribute significantly to the Government's Green Industrial Revolution is being backed by local councils and New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership.

The planned hub has been described as one of the world's most exciting and innovative nuclear, hydrogen, maritime and transport decarbonisation schemes.
