East Suffolk Council is planning to launch a public consultation on whether firework displays should be held on land it owns, after concerns were raised by the authority's Environment Task Group over the effects rockets can have on vulnerable adults, animals and wildlife.

A driver that is alleged to have scarpered after being chased by police following a hit and run, reports of drugs use and disorderly behaviour near Felixstowe seafront has been arrested.

Police are now appealing for witnesses after a collision in Felixstowe, which is being linked to an earlier incident of anti-social behaviour and nitrous oxide use near the sea front.
