The son who stabbed his father in the back at their Felixstowe home has been given an extra year in jail after admitting possessing indecent images of children.

Daniel Eacott, formerly of Queens Road, Felixstowe, appeared via video link from Norwich prison to plead guilty to three charges relating to the indecent images, at Ipswich Magistrates' Court, last Tuesday.

Blue badge holders on the Felixstowe peninsula have been warned that county council officials are looking to clamp down after the first of a number of 'enforcement days' took place in Suffolk.

The scheme is aimed at protecting genuine Blue Badge holders, that use many parking areas in Felixstowe and the neighbouring villages, dedicated to those entitled to those spots, or single yellow lined spaces.
