Deputy Manager for elderly residential home needed in Felixstowe

We are currently looking for a Deputy Manager for a 27 bedded elderly residential home for our client based in Felixstowe. This position is ideal for an experienced Deputy Manager or Senior Carer with experience of leading a staff team.

The Role:

Your role as the Deputy Manager will include and not be limited to:

  • Work 40 hours per week across a shift pattern including one weekend a month
  • Risk assessments
  • Conduct staff reviews, staff meetings and mentoring of staff and giving them the tools that they need to enable them to deliver the best service
  • Follow and enforce policies and procedures approved the Registered Manager to ensure effective and efficient operations of the services and activities.
  • Ensuring all records are properly maintained in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Ensuring that the clients are receiving highest quality of support is at the forefront of all that you do.
The Person: To be considered for the role of Deputy Manager, you will:
  • Ideally have had 1 year of Deputy Manager experience or at a Senior Carer level
  • Have experience of managing a staff team
  • Have true empathy for the people under your care
  • Have excellent knowledge of CQC requirements in order to best support the Registered Manager
  • Hold strong management skills and a real passion for ensuring the best quality of care is being delivering within the services under your lead.
