Felixstowe School has rated as the seventh worst performing school in Suffolk, according to government figures.

The former Felixstowe Academy was given a -0.45 score with only 28% of the 196 pupils included in the measurement, achieving a Grade 5 or better in their English and Maths GCSEs.

This score shows how much progress pupils at this school made between the end of key stage 2 and the end of key stage 4, compared to pupils across England who got similar results at the end of key stage 2.

This is based on results in up to eight qualifications, which include English, maths, 3 English Baccalaureateopens in a new window  qualifications including sciences, computer science, history, geography and languages, and 3 other additional approved qualificationsopens in a new window .The report stated Pupils here achieve up to half a grade lower in each qualification on average, compared to similar pupils across the country.
