The White Horse in Old Felixstowe is set to welcome back customers on Friday.

Two new publicans, David and Amanda Fisher, will take over the running of the Punch-owned pub in Church Road, which has been closed since March.

Ed Passey, Punch's operations director, said: "We are pleased to confirm that the White Horse in Felixstowe will be reopening on Friday 23rd October with new publicans David and Amanda who are very much looking forward to welcoming their guests back through the door."

Like all pubs the White Horse was locked down in March, but the then landlords Karen Gallimore and Billy Jones chose not to reopen due to concerns over Covid-19 and a failure to agree reduced lease terms of with landlords Punch.

The couple who had taken over the White Horse in April, 2016, subsequently gave notice to quit on July 1 and the pub has remained shut since. Punch advertised the White Horse as vacant and were asking £481 a week rent.
