Transport Planner - Ipswich - Up to 35,000
Our client who are a nationwide transport company are looking for a Transport Planner to join their team in Ipswich, UK.
Job type: Permanent
Days: Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to 35,000
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Dealing with multiple drivers
- Communicating with ports
- Using a Transport system called TOPS for putting down drivers start times and finish times
- Chasing drivers for etas and making sure they are on time
- Rerouting jobs as and when is needed
- Checking all PODS are matched up with all the correct jobs on the system
- Speaking to customers on possible delays advising etc
We are looking for candidates to apply who have the following:
- Previous experience as a Transport Planner - Essential
- Confident and clear communicator - written and verbal
- Excellent UK geographical knowledge
- Can work on own initiative
- Quick and efficient problem solving skills
- Organised at all times
