About the Role:

As a Buy to Let Officer within our Buy to Let Special Servicing team, you will work across various loan portfolios on behalf of multiple clients and will undertake a range of post-completion loan servicing activities by service level agreements, procedures and current legislation. Our clients work on behalf of banks, specialist lenders and private equity funds and the customers within their portfolios will include individuals, partnerships, SPVs and Limited Companies. You will be required to deliver an excellent level of service at all times, whilst ensuring that we are Treating Customers Fairly and delivering the best outcome.

Responsibilities:

• Explain loan terms and conditions clearly to customers
• Process information requests within service-level agreements
• Resolve standard loan inquiries from customers and advisors
• Maintain accurate customer and loan information
• Accurately inform customers of payment due dates and collect payments following BACS rules
• Provide prompt redemption statements and release loan security upon receipt of funds
• Handle financial transactions in the servicing system
• Ensure accurate onboarding of new loans and issuance of correct correspondence
• Monitor loans approaching expiry and take necessary follow-up actions
• Review company watch notifications and take appropriate actions
• Communicate professionally with clients, third parties, and internal teams
• Report system or loan issues accurately and proactively, making recommendations as needed

Experience required:

• Experience within the mortgage/lending industry.
• Basic knowledge of buy-to-let mortgages and specialist finance in the UK.
• Knowledge of the applicable regulations governing the financial services industry.
• Customer service experience.
• Knowledge of the loan redemption process.
• Strong mathematical skills
• Ability to proactively manage own workload
• Empathic manner - able to manage difficult conversations whilst showing empathy and dealing sensitively
